To fix this go to Settings > Media and under the “Store uploads in this folder” field put the default path: wp-content/uploads

After migrating a website to new hosting, the following error appeared: Error: Your upload path is not valid or does not exist: /home/user/domain.com/wp-content/uploads

How to fix Error: Your upload path is not valid or does not exist: wp-content/uploads

This error happens due to the now not existing wp-content/uplaods path, to fix the Your upload path is not valid or does not exist error message follow these steps:

  1. Login to your WordPress website
  2. go to Settings > Media
  3. locate the “Store uploads in this folder” field
  4. put the default path: wp-content/uploads

After following the steps above, the error will go away.
